She passed away in the heart of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, at the age of 80.

Beyond her smash hits like Jolene and 9-5, she is recognized as an artist of distinct acclaim. She is among the few to have been nominated across all four major American entertainment categories: Emmy, Academy, Tony, and Grammy Awards. She has received 10 CMA awards, including Entertainer of the Year, being one of only seven female artists to achieve this honor.
