Fat Joe is taking over the Hot97 and WBLS airwaves today in an effort to raise money for the victims affected by the deadly Bronx apartment fire at Twin Parks North-West.
Joe will be joined by his celebrity friends, including A Boogie, French Montana, Dream Doll, Remy Ma, Slick Rick, B-Lovee, Bronx Borough President Vanessa Gibson, and Jeff Redd, to help raise funds.
“I’d like to express my appreciation for my family at HOT97, WBLS, and all my friends that are supporting this fundraising effort,” the Bronx native said. “It’s critical that we continue to come together and uplift our Bronx brothers and sisters who are suffering physically, mentally, and emotionally from this tragedy.”
Joe initially teamed up with the New York City Mayor’s Fund to Advance New York City on Jan. 11 to create the Bronx Relief Fund to raise money for the victims. In addition to making his own contribution, Joe was able to secure donations from Jay-Z, Nas, DJ Khaled, LL Cool J, Jack Dorsey, and brands like White Castle. Within 24 hours, Joe helped raise more than $1 million.

Joe and friends will be on the air today between 10 a.m. ET and 7 p.m. ET.
