- Ray Fame makes ICMG/2deep and has a kickass EP
The Alpha Thot of the thot boys accomplished something he has been working for a long time. Congratulations Ray Fame on becoming part of the ICMG/2deep label. The native of the Harlem Renaissance has been a loyal and true member of the Thot boys, and a good friend to members of the label Kony Brooks, Teddy Grahams, Jr Just Real, Swagg, and Diips over the last few years and was greatly inspired by the collective and later becoming to what he calls them his Family . In the process of his ICMG/2Deep journey, he had released an EP entitled Paid in Full . In all honesty due to personal issues it took me a while to collectively get my thoughts together to sit down and write this blog out. But seeing him accomplish so much after everything he's told me about himself and his life honestly motivated me to do it. As someone thats struggled to be where I am as a person today, to hear his story and to see the strides he's making as a person, father, and artist I can honestly say I am proud of him. I know many people can say " Well Katie Kay aint Shit" thats fine I'm not. But I can honestly say I was very inspired by everything he has done and the loyalty that he has shown to his team and everyone around him. The Album is the artists lyrical version of the movie paid in full. Where he pictured himself as the main character and he pictures himself and everything through the entire story. My top three songs I must say that caught my attention were: 1) Don't Let Me - feat Kony Brooks The continuing collaboration since Kony Island 2 , with a different vibe than their normal collaborations. They really hit home with the combination of lyrics and the emotion that they put into the song. 2) I Promise - feat Diips In a #Rawrr Interview , this was considered one of the most special collaboration in the entire EP for fame. It was their first time working closely with each other. The track talking about trials and tribulations in our relationships and of course the usual one person that has the side person and the main person. 3) Bet it Back Honestly I loved this because I would drive in the car with people and bump to it on some hard shit. This has to be that theme song that people have when you trying to prove yourself. I listen to this constantly when I need motivation when I am getting ready for gigs and feeling like I need to prove myself. It motivates you so you don't have to deal with those that don't believe in you. They bet five bet five right back and prove them wrong. If you want to understand what I am talking about check it out on soundcloud yourself!!! https://soundcloud.com/uptownfame/sets/ray-fame-paid-in-full-ep Follow him on Instagram @the_real_ray_fame

Following the Star Qualified Music Group Cypher, the dark lord of WVMR Blackout the Rebel decided to fight back. If many of you did not know, the lyrically equipped Star Qualified Music Group or known as SQMG came at all of the voiceless music nominees on July 25th in their attempt of making a stance and a name for themselves in this INDiEstry. Blackout known for his show on WVMR Darkside Radio (Monday's 8:30-10pm) as a raunchy, perverted getting people pregnant music enthusiast recruited the best in the industry which included ICMG own Kony Brooks and Teddy Grahams as the videographer, Izone media own Nikko Tesla, One Man Band Live Johnson, as well as the infamous Mickey Factz. The beat of course was one of Prodigy's classics, Keep It Thoro and the NY natives brought back a little piece of themselves and laid the other cyphers to rest in peace next to prodigy's memorial in the QueensBridge houses. - Menzanmi Woyyy Kwoat is bringing the Heat Summer 17
The brooklyn native is at it again, after his infamous release of Toast earlier last year the beggining of this year. Kwoat comes back with his unique remake of the Outkast song Ms Jackson. Engineered by O Banga Productions Kwoat takes a classic hip hop song and mixes it with his Haitian roots and puts his mark on what the industry should be looking like. What is amazing about Kwoat is that he looks to think outside of the box with his music. It was noticeable since he released Toast. As he had said in a mashup show that former Rawrr show LNK Radio did with Loud Silence and Darkside Radio while doing his videos unexpected things tend to happen. With toast he never planned to shoot in the church, it just happened like that; whileas in a recent post he posted in which the slap in 1,23 was actually unscripted and he decided to go along with it, true signs of an innovator. As difficult as it can be Kwoat is also one of the few artists that mixes their music with their native Haitian tongue, and look how impeccable it sounds. You see more of that with Ms Jackson. For the last few days it made me want to even learn Haitian. The video starts with someone that appears to be his girlfriend and she doesn't sound too happy with him. He tries to reach his followers by representing what society's view of relationship is today. As unfortunate as that reality but his words show as much as he does love her , he "doesn't want to make her cry no more." and "If he breaks a heart he will be the man",how the pattern some men in modern day relationship's show towards their women. He does it in a very laidback and relatable way. But while he shows this he also brings the sexy back with it, ladies theres of course the few mins where females are undressed but theres those few minutes where you see Mr. Kwoat himself without a shirt , getting ready. Can you say #Fiyaaaaaaaaa Menzanmiii Woyyyyyyy Hes that Mor Value Soldier repping Cool Kids Society and if he keeps putting fire like this there is no doubt in our minds he will be in the mainstream sooner rather than later. - Thot Boy's Teddy Grahams releases 1Thing4Sure
Ask and you shall receive Mr. Grahams, you might see him with the thot boys promoting their latest single Back it Up . Little do many know Teddy Grahams of Icmg/2 Deep has his EP out titled One Thing For Sure . One thing for sure, when you listen to Teddy Grahams voice in parts of the compilation you can tell he has a Weeknd vibe, making the women want to drop their panties everytime he opens his mouth to sing. When Teddy Grahams gets on the mic, he has such an impressive word flow. Not only does he have the ability to sing, and have an R&B flow. He has the gift of versatility in which he can switch it up and spit the bars needed to convey his point, making him one of the best lyricists in the indie scene. Features in this album include ICMG / 2Deep members Kony Brooks and Diipps, Th3 Saga and Tierra G. What more impressive of this album, not only did Teddy write most of the music but the majority of the tracks were produced by him and Rel one. Our Rawrr Picks off this album include: - Your King feat Diipps - WTW - ( Whats the Word) featuring Kony Brooks - Jordans and Snapbacks (feat Tierra G & Th3 Saga) This album in our opinion will be up for Best Compilation for the 2018 Voiceless Music Awards. If we had a Rawrr awards we would definitely put this on the top of our list. We are not sure what the world has yet to expect from Teddy Grahams. But if he can put some fire like this out. He will take this industry out by a storm. You can download the album from Itunes, and all digital retailers. As well as it can be streamed off soundcloud. https://soundcloud.com/teddy-grahams/tracks Ig: iamteddygrahams77 Teddy Grahams will discuss this album on June 12th on Monday Night Rawrr at 10pm www.wvmradio.net Dont forget, follow us on Ig / Twitter / FB @mnrawrrwvmr to get updates and more.
- 6x Voiceless Music Nominee changes the world with 1|9
Prior to his six voiceless music award nominees, Beau Draper aka Ju$$ B released his second solo record 1|9. The record itself was a product of Draper's history, blood, sweat, and tears. A musical documentation of his life while at the same time containing powerful lyrics and meaning that everyone around him can relate to. The first single of the compilation Instafamous made our Rawrrpicks for the month of may taking the industry by a storm. With the support of his label mates at Ascot Music Group (AMG) he continues to produce hit after hit. The album itself is honestly one of the bests I have heard this year. With the versatility of his music one never can tell what he can produce. I definitely recommend this for people to listen to. check out his soundcloud now https://soundcloud.com/ju-b Read below our Behind the Lyrics Interview with Ju$$ B 1) How long did it take for you to put out 1 | 9 ? It took me about a year year and a half tops to get it together 2) What is the meaning to the name? ONE NINE came from all the pain I was going threw I lost my first daughter "Skylar Beau-Sade Draper" sept 19th 2015 then I lost my brother the next year April 19th 2016 3) What is your motivation behind the album? My motivation behind the album was basically me just trying to find closer for myself not so much for the people but I still made the songs relatable 4) What is your favorite track from the album? Uh my favorite track varies with my mood but I love "Sept19th" just cause what it means to me and my "Fine Wit Me" track featuring PHresher 5) What was the process in creating your album? Just me finding a peace of mind no matter my setting cause some songs were written on a long train ride some just sitting in the room write after an argument like I right off my moods 6) What was your support system like during your process? This process support wasn't really to much cause I kind of cooked this up undercover. Everybody featured on the project supported heavy but far as my people's and fans I kind of kept it on the low 7) What is the story behind War and April 19th ? you hear a lot of emotion coming from those two tracks? APRIL 19th I relived the day my brother was murdered in the booth which was hard to do. And WAR came about from me just feeling like my neighborhood and a few artist that or in this class with me just sleeping and forgetting how much work I put in and people always telling me what I need to do but I just stayed true and had to make a statement . 8) If you had to change something about this album what would it be? I wouldn't change anything I'd just upgrade the engineering a little bit and take my time on it a little more but i made a deadline to drop it on the 19th or April 9) This album had no features is there a reason to it? It's Features just the Distribution people didn't add it but S/O to KillaTime (Battle Rapper) that's family, KARMA P, PHresher (Famous for the WAIT A MINUTE Track) and NajIsDope those the only artist I have on it 10) How do you feel being nominated for 6 Voiceless Music Awards? IT WAS MIND BLOWING. Cause everyday i wake up I feel like I'm not doing enough for my career, but then I get reminded by things like this IVE BEEN PUTTING IN WORK 11) Whats next for JU$$-B? NEXT FOR ME IS JUST TRYING TO GET SOME RADIO SPINS FOR INSTAFAMOUS and see about getting some big name features (Gotta save up some Mula lol) and get these visuals out for the world. #JussByourself
- Creator of HipHop Retreat Week Stands up for Culture
This just in as of this morning the underground hip hop community took a stand, a major stand and it took one person to start it. Owner and creator Lbanks Da Bossy took to social media this morning after a disturbing encounter with management for the local Brooklyn Bar TenderTrap Banks had approached the venue to discuss having an event take place and an employee allegedly poses as part owner of the venue stated that they are no longer intersted in doing "Thug Shows" ; discriminating against Bossy's company, buisiness and importantly her racial background. Livid as she was she took the fight to social media Thursday morning and in 8 hours the review ratings of the Brooklyn hip spot plummeted from 4.9 to 3.1 stars , with 95 members of the indie community voicing their opinions giving one star ratings. Hip hop originated many styles of music, as well as they have originated the most cashflow for many of these local establishments here in NYC. The freedom of expression alone is what makes NYC great, whether its through the open mics and spoken word to hip hop showcases the independent scene in New York makes New York so special and welcoming to thse looking to expand their art and make a difference with their music. When responding to Banks tender trap replies with the following statement: do you find this as an appropriate apology , or do you believe that we as the hiphop community should continue to follow Banks lead to keep taking a stand and making known how racist this venue and its owners really are? To leave a bad review and help the fight go to https://www.facebook.com/TenderTrapBK/?hc_location=ufi Comment below we want to hear your opinions we will definately be talking about this situation Monday with guests Kony Brooks and Teddy Grahams on #MondayNightRawrr Follow us Twitter / IG - @mnrawrrwvmr https://www.facebook.com/MONDAYNIGHTRAWRRWVMR/
- Behind the lyrics - Regresa a Mi - Ismael Seda
With the upcoming release of his latest video Regresa A Mi - Unbreak My Heart remix. Ismael Seda known as Seda Sounds comes to us with a beautiful rendition to the classic unbreak my heart by Toni Braxton. Although the track being in Seda native language of Spanish the track carries a powerful meaning to those that had lost a loved one. For many of us we know that oh too familiar feeling. For people like myself who lost a father 17 years ago, you listen to this song from Seda and it is a representation of everything you feel when you lost someone close, more importantly a father. Its truly an honor when artists such as him come to our outlets with a song with a strong meaning. Once you hear the song I guarantee you will shed a tear or two listening to this song. Monday Night Rawrr was there to get the exclusive with Mr. Seda as he prepares for the April 14th release of the visual for this song. 1. What is the name of the song ? Regresa A Mi (Spanish version of the classic Un-break my heart) 2. What is your inspiration behind it ? It was one of my dads favorite songs, and it basically talks about the pain you feel after losing someone. So it's sort of a tribute or dedication to him. THis song also was one of the songs i listened to most after losing him so i felt the need to do my own rendition. 3. What was it like for you to record such a powerful song like this? It was an emotional release for me actually, after i finished recording this song, tears started flowing and i also felt like a weight had been lifted bc i had finally given into such strong emotion. Having to be strong for the family i hadn't really processed my own pain/feelings. 4. What was your thought process in writing this song? I wish i had written this song, but i honestly felt like i did, in the way i felt compelled to sing it. It touches me upon each listen. 5. Did you have other songs in mind to redo in tribute to your father ? I also have My All In spanish by Mariah, Dance with my father by Luther and i am also writing another song for him currently about how strong he made me and what he left me behind. 6. Optional q - What was he like because it seems like he had such a positive impact on you? He was an army veteran, so he taught me how to be strong, and basically a soldier. I am who i am because of the militant way that he raised me. But he also raised me to be kind and respectful to everyone no matter what. I take alot with me that he taught me as a child. And you will hear alot about that in the song i am writing to him about that very topic. 7 How did your family react to the song ? They all caught "goosebumps" and we cried together when i played the video for them. 8. What would you honestly tell someone that's going through the loss of a loved one? I would tell them it's going to be alright, and don't rush into mourning your loved one. Don't let anyone rush you, take your time, bc losing someone is hard, losing a parent is like having to find yourself all over again. you really do feel like you lost a part of you that's never returning. you almost feel lost and empty and that's what the song "Regresa a mi" talks about. Hence, why the video took place in the woods, all alone. I wanted to capture the essence of that feeling. I also, find a positive outlet which can assist in you getting your emotions out. 9. Will there be an entire project dedicated to your father or will this be the only song ? There will only be a song to him, but i carry him with me all the time. Our main connection derived through music. We really connected and bonded listening to music and his taste of music really helped me because he wasn't just into one thing, he had all types of records playing in the house which is how i am with music. I have a wide ranging musical taste and i owe that to him. I had music from salsa, motown, blues, R&B, hip hop, reggae and the list goes on playing in the house. So when creating, 10. Anything else you want to share with us ? I am always open to all sounds/genres. I don't consider myself just an R&B artist,I like to call my music poetic soul. I am currently working on two new singles to set the fire to the upcoming summer, and hopefully an EP will follow at the end of the year, early next. For now i am enjoying just creating singles, and working with other artist. Thank you for your time. Love & Light to all! - EP Review 718 & Heartaches Meko Sky
Jeremy Ramirez and Aaliyah Cardenas Ig: @jloko2t26 @auroess There’s a new genre of music out there that is beginning to arise in music. This genre brings together two different sides of music and is known as Rap Soul. If you ever wonder what Rap Soul sounds like then you should recall J. Cole’s latest album 4 Your Eyez Only. A young Hip Hop Soul artist from the Bronx by the name of Meko Sky dropped an EP that leaves the listeners star dazed and vibing to mellow beats and smooth punch lines. Titled 718 & Heartaches, he has given us his own version of More Life. The first track “Ei8th After 6” starts out smooth giving a good introduction to what Hip Hop Soul is to him. The grittiness in the song comes from what it is to live in the Bronx. As the EP continues, Meko Sky brings out Nico Woods and Kwoat in a raw rap single, “Throne Talks”. The track is filled with audacious quotes and controversial punch lines that leave listeners begging for more. The EP concludes with “Day 1’s,” which shows the temerarious side of Meko Sky. Filled with aggressive lines that comeback stereotypes and life struggles, Meko carefully ended the EP with a strong message. To hear more of Meko Sky, tune in to WVMR every Monday from 6pm to 8pm to catch Loud Silence Radio.
