Get to know Tha Mask Rapper

A wrestling fan, an artist in his own right Tha Mask Rapper has been the underdog of his journey. Combining his love for wrestling, spoken word, and graphic design he developed a persona leaving his audience wanting to know more. His luchador mask gives us early Rey Mysterio vibes but there is a kind demeanor within him. We met him at the We are Wrestling Welcome to The Bronx event looking for the venue and he was kind enough to help Ivy and Muffin with the mini muffins help find the event. Since then he introduced us to more promotions and helped widen our view of the independent wrestling scene. The artist once a trained wrestler gives us insight into his life that we did not know about him.

1) For those that do not know. Who is Tha Mask rapper ?

Tha Mask rapper is a rapper , songwriter , and graphic designer , i fuse music and wrestling as they are two things I love.

2) If you had to describe yourself in one word what would it be?

Let's see if I had to describe myself in one word I would say blessed or talented I cant choose.

3) In terms of your graphic design do you consider yourself an animator?

No I created something out of nothing , my specialty is logos.

4) You have a spoken word flow to your rhymes who was your inspiration?

You have said this before to me and I appreciate that kind words but answer is basically God, musically i'm inspired by 2Pac and Biggie .

5) Your last release on Youtube was three years ago prior to the pandemic what made you go on a hiatus for so long.

Work, I work 50 hours a week sometimes longer, I mostly put my music on instagram thats where I generate my fans.

6) What is the mask movement club? MMC is basically my company for myself anyone that is a fan of my work and a supporter of my movement. When I wanted to reinvent myself I changed my name and basically the mask is basically to hide my identity in superhero fashion. When I used to do shows in person I used to wear a luchador masses to honor all the mask wrestlers past president and future.

7) What has being a creative affected your life?

How has music change my life , well I can get emotions out and say how I feel like for example I have many songs for my mother who passed away 9 years ago.

8) For you how does wrestling and music coincide with each other?

Basically it's just 2 things I really love , that's why I try to go to as many shows and sponsor many companies and get my name out there.

10) What is one thing you look forward to in 2023?

Taking my first steps with this writeup and promoting myself. Thank you so much for this opportunity. I never have done something like this before.
