Christy Knowings Dies at 46: Remembering the Beloved ‘All That’ Star

Its a sad day for 90's kids everywhere as news breaks out that former All That Star Christy Knowings had passed away today at the age of 46 from complications from an asthma attack that left her with irreversable brain damage. The star was hospitalized last friday and was put on life support until Tuesday, she passed away Tuessday night after her family made the decision to take her off life support.
Actress and comedian Christy Knowings became a familiar face to Nickelodeon audiences when she joined the cast of All That in 1997. Before landing a spot on the popular sketch-comedy series, Knowings appeared in And Now This, a Rosie O’Donnell sketch-comedy special produced by Nickelodeon. Knowings spent three seasons on All That, showcasing her comedic range through a variety of memorable characters. Among her most recognizable roles were Penny Lane and Jessica, who appeared alongside Amanda Bynes in the recurring fan-favorite sketch “Whateverrr!!!”
Her career in children’s television continued beyond Nickelodeon. Knowings later appeared in three episodes of Sesame Street alongside her real-life twin brother, Chris Knowings, who went on to become a longtime member of the beloved educational series.In addition to acting and comedy, Knowings has explored her talents in music. In 2020, she released the folk single “To the World,” adding another creative chapter to a career that has spanned television, comedy, and music.
