"I originally started So Phenomenal Lifestyle in early 2019. Due to COVID, I had to put SPL on the back burner until the world opened back up. When I was going to bring it back I had my strokes. Now it's 2026 and So Phenomenal Lifestyle is finally back" - Jason Pagan Via Facebook

From 2014 to 2019, the words “So Phenomenal” weren’t just the name of a brand—they were a mantra.

From his hit single “Masterpiece,” featuring Ismael Seda, to using his platform to promote independent artists such as Oz The Great, KG Nice, and many others, Jason “Phenom” Pagan lived and breathed what it meant to be So Phenomenal. At the heart of the movement was a simple but powerful message: embrace your genuine self, because who you truly are is what makes you phenomenal.

As August arrives, it brings a season of reflection, renewal, and anticipation for what the remainder of the year can bring. And it wouldn’t be a true Rawrrzone Spotlight without highlighting the comeback of someone whose story is deeply connected to our own.

Before she became your favorite podcast chick, Ivy was a high school kid with a camera, a love for music, and a passion she refused to let go of. She first met Jason Pagan, aka Phenom, when she was just 16 years old.

As Ivy’s photography career began to grow, their paths crossed again when they came together to film a documentary surrounding the So Phenomenal Festival. That experience introduced Ivy to people and opportunities that would help shape her journey as a journalist, ultimately planting some of the earliest seeds for what would later become Rawrrzone Media.

But Jason’s own journey was far from finished.

Over the years, he faced a number of personal and professional obstacles that ultimately took him away from the musical spotlight. His story became about more than music or entrepreneurship—it became one of perseverance, healing, rediscovery, and finding the strength to begin again.

On June 22, after years dedicated to healing physically, mentally, and spiritually, Jason stepped forward to revitalize So Phenomenal and begin the next chapter of the brand.

This time, “So Phenomenal” carries the weight of everything he has experienced, everything he has overcome, and everything still ahead.

Because sometimes being phenomenal isn’t about never falling. It’s about finding your way back, embracing who you’ve become, and having the courage to start again.

Nearly a decade after helping plant seeds that would become part of Rawrrzone Media’s story, Jason “Phenom” Pagan is writing a new chapter of his own—and reminding us exactly why he is So Phenomenal.

Meet our August Rawrrzone Spotlight: Jason “Phenom” Pagan.

1) Did you ever think that the Jason that ran around with young Ivy from HS would be running his own lifestyle brand? When we met you back in the day you were all about the music and being in the studio engineering how does the progression feel?

Style has always been something I was interested in — and in Hip Hop, fashion is part of the culture. So the evolution felt natural. What started as simple SPE merch quickly became something bigger. People weren’t just buying the pieces; they were connecting with the way So Phenomenal Entertainment moved, the energy, the identity. When I saw how strongly the merch resonated, that’s when I knew it deserved its own lane — its own brand.

2)  For those that don't know who is Jason and what does the words So Phenomenal mean to you?

I'm someone who leads with creativity and intention. I’ve always believed in showing up as the best version of myself — through style, through energy, through how I move. And that’s what So Phenomenal means to me. It’s a mindset. It’s carrying yourself with purpose, staying authentic, and elevating whatever space you step into. It’s not about being perfect — it’s about being real, being present, and being confident in who you are. That’s the heart of So Phenomenal.

3) When did you feel that you wanted to shift from running So Phenomenal Entertainment to turning it into a lifestyle brand?

There wasn’t really a shift — it was more of a moment in my life that forced everything to slow down. I’m still running So Phenomenal Entertainment, and the music is still part of the story. We’ve got new releases coming. But when I had my health scare, I had to step back from the scene and focus on recovering. In that space, when everything got quiet, I started building So Phenomenal Lifestyle. What began as merch under SPE grew into its own identity — its own heartbeat. It became a brand born out of resilience, out of reflection, out of me choosing to keep creating even when life hit hard. So Phenomenal Lifestyle didn’t replace anything… it expanded the vision.

4) What inspired you to relaunch So Phenomenal Lifestyle Brand, and why is now the right time for its return?

We first launched back in 2019, and less than a year later the pandemic forced us to shut everything down. When I started planning the comeback in 2021, I ended up having several strokes — and that pushed things back even further. But during that recovery period, when life slowed down and I had no choice but to sit still, I used that time to really study the industry and rebuild the brand with intention. What came out of that was a stronger, clearer, more elevated version of So Phenomenal Lifestyle. And honestly, right now feels like the perfect moment to bring it back. With everything happening in the world, people need a reminder of what it means to live phenomenal — to move with purpose, to stay grounded, and to show up as their best selves.

5) The word "phenomenal" carries a lot of meaning. What does living a phenomenal lifestyle mean to you personally?

The word ‘phenomenal’ holds weight. For me, living a phenomenal lifestyle is about showing up with intention every single day. It’s choosing to move with purpose, to stay authentic, and to elevate whatever space you step into. It’s not about perfection — it’s about presence. It’s about resilience, growth, and carrying yourself in a way that reflects who you truly are. Living phenomenal means honoring your journey, embracing your individuality, and committing to being the best version of yourself, even when life gets heavy. It’s a mindset… a standard… a way of life.”“The word ‘phenomenal’ holds weight. For me, living a phenomenal lifestyle is about showing up with intention every single day. 6) Since the brand's original launch, how have you evolved as an entrepreneur, creator, and individual?

Since the original launch, I’ve grown in every direction — as an entrepreneur, as a creator, and as a person. The setbacks, the shutdowns, the health scares… all of that forced me to slow down and really understand what I was building. I learned the business side with more intention, sharpened my creative vision, and became more disciplined about how I move. As an individual, I’ve become more present. More patient. More purpose‑driven. I don’t rush the process anymore — I respect it. And that growth shows in the brand. So Phenomenal Lifestyle today is a reflection of that evolution. It’s stronger, clearer, and rooted in everything I’ve learned along the way.

7)  In a world where many brands focus solely on fashion, how does So Phenomenal aim to create a lifestyle and community?

A lot of brands stop at fashion — they focus on the clothes, the trends, the moment. But So Phenomenal has always been bigger than that. For me, it’s about creating a lifestyle and a community that people can actually feel connected to. We lead with purpose. We speak to identity, to resilience, to showing up as your best self. The fashion is just the expression — the message is what brings people together. Whether it’s through the storytelling, the energy behind the brand, or the way we move as a collective, So Phenomenal is meant to inspire people to live with intention. It’s not just about what you wear… it’s about how you carry yourself, how you treat people, how you navigate your journey. That’s how we build community. That’s how we create a lifestyle.

8) What role does authenticity play in the success of a lifestyle brand?

Authenticity is everything. In a lifestyle brand, it’s the foundation — the part people actually connect to. Anyone can make clothes, anyone can follow trends, but when you’re building a lifestyle, people have to feel the truth behind it. They have to see that the message comes from a real place. For me, authenticity is what keeps So Phenomenal grounded. It’s how we build trust, how we build community, and how we create something that lasts. When you move with honesty and intention, people feel that. And that’s what makes a lifestyle brand resonate — not just the product, but the purpose behind it.

9) Tell us about the new ambassador program how will it help progress the community you hope to build?

The ambassador program is really about expanding the heart of what So Phenomenal stands for. It’s bigger than modeling clothes or promoting a brand — it’s about building a community of people who live with intention and carry themselves with purpose. Ambassadors become extensions of the message. They represent authenticity, resilience, and that phenomenal mindset in their own circles. By bringing in people who genuinely connect with the lifestyle, we’re able to create real impact — real conversations, real inspiration, real connection. This program helps us grow not just in numbers, but in culture. It allows the community to shape the brand with us, to share their stories, and to help spread a message that reminds people to live phenomenal every day.

10) How important is it for So Phenomenal to give back and inspire others through its platform?

Giving back is a core part of So Phenomenal. This brand was never built just to sell clothes — it was built to inspire people to live with intention. Using our platform to uplift others, to motivate them, to remind them of their own strength… that’s the real impact. For me, it’s important that the brand reflects more than style — it reflects substance. If we’re not pouring into the community, if we’re not encouraging people to grow, to heal, to elevate, then we’re not truly living phenomenal. Inspiring others is part of the mission. It’s how the lifestyle becomes bigger than the brand.

11) What message do you hope supporters take away when they wear or represent the So Phenomenal brand?

When someone wears So Phenomenal, I want them to feel aligned with their best self. The message is bigger than the clothing — it’s a reminder to move with purpose, to stay authentic, and to carry yourself with confidence. When you represent this brand, you’re choosing to live phenomenal. You’re choosing resilience, growth, and intention. You’re choosing to show up in the world as someone who knows their value and isn’t afraid to express it. That’s the energy I hope people take with them — that every piece is a reminder of who they are and who they’re becoming.

12) Outside of the brand, you do own So Phenomenal Entertainment and have managed the careers of artists such as Oz and more with the re-emergence of the clothing line will we see a renaissance for the label?

Before the pandemic, SPE had a real momentum — the energy, the music, everything was moving in the right direction. Even though I won’t be out front the way I used to, SPE is still very much alive. Oz and I have new music on the way, and the vision is still growing. The movement didn’t stop… it just evolved.

13) You've experienced both physical healing and emotional healing. Which has been the more difficult battle, and why?

For me, the emotional healing has been the hardest part. I’ve always been the type to push myself, to go above and beyond whatever’s considered average — so the physical therapy, the grind, the discipline… that wasn’t the part that broke me. What hit different was the emotional side. Processing everything that happened, dealing with the losses, carrying all that weight internally — that’s been the real challenge. That’s something I still navigate every day. But even in that struggle, I’m learning. I’m growing. And that’s part of what living phenomenal means to me — showing up, even when it’s heavy.

14) Losing close family members can change a person forever. How have their memories influenced the direction and purpose of So Phenomenal's relaunch?

Losing close family changes you in ways you don’t expect. It shifts your perspective, your priorities, your sense of time. Their memories became a reminder of why I started creating in the first place — to honor where I come from, to make them proud, and to build something that carries meaning. When it came to relaunching So Phenomenal, their influence was everywhere. The purpose became deeper. The message became clearer. It wasn’t just about fashion or branding anymore — it was about legacy, about resilience, about continuing a story they helped shape. Their strength, their love, their lessons… all of that lives in this relaunch. So Phenomenal is a reflection of them, and a reminder to everyone who supports the brand to live with intention, to cherish their people, and to move through life in a way that honors those they’ve lost.

15) The role of a boss fits for you, now that you have taken a step back from the musical side, what are other projects that you are focusing on right now?

Stepping back from the music didn’t take me out of my purpose — it just shifted where my energy goes. The role of a boss fits because I’ve learned how to build, how to lead, and how to move with intention. Right now, my focus is on expanding So Phenomenal Lifestyle — growing the brand, shaping the community, and creating opportunities for people to live with purpose. I’m developing the ambassador program, working on new drops, building out the storytelling behind the brand, and laying the foundation for everything we want So Phenomenal to stand for. SPE is still alive, the music is still part of the story… but this chapter is about leadership, vision, and creating something that lasts.

16) Why was it important for you to relaunch So Phenomenal now rather than quietly moving on to something new?

Relaunching So Phenomenal wasn’t about holding onto the past — it was about honoring the purpose behind why it was created in the first place. I could’ve quietly moved on to something new, but that wouldn’t have felt true to the journey or the people who’ve been part of it. After everything I’ve been through — the shutdowns, the health scares, the losses — I realized the brand still had something meaningful to say. The message still mattered. People still needed that reminder to live with intention, to stay resilient, to carry themselves with confidence even when life gets heavy. Relaunching now is about timing, alignment, and purpose. It’s about finishing what I started, but doing it with more clarity, more maturity, and more heart. So Phenomenal wasn’t meant to fade away… it was meant to evolve.

17) What does this relaunch symbolize for you personally?

This relaunch symbolizes a new chapter for me — not just as a creative, but as a person. After everything I’ve been through, the setbacks, the healing, the losses… bringing So Phenomenal back feels like reclaiming my purpose. It represents resilience, growth, and the decision to keep moving forward even when life tries to stop you. On a personal level, it’s a reminder that I’m still here, still creating, still building something meaningful. This relaunch is proof that the vision didn’t die — it evolved. And now, it stands as a reflection of who I’ve become and the strength it took to get here.

18) Was there ever a point during your recovery when you weren't sure if So Phenomenal would return?

Absolutely. There were moments during my recovery when I wasn’t sure if So Phenomenal would ever come back. When you’re fighting through something that heavy — physically, mentally, emotionally — your whole world shifts. You start questioning everything, even the things you once felt unshakeable about. But even in those moments of doubt, the vision never fully left me. It sat quietly in the background, waiting for me to get strong enough to pick it back up. And once I realized how much the message still mattered — not just to me, but to the people who connected with it — that’s when I knew So Phenomenal wasn’t done. The comeback wasn’t guaranteed… it was chosen. And that choice means everything.

19) What does success look like now compared to before your health challenges and personal losses?

Success looks completely different to me now. Before the health challenges and the losses, success was all about momentum — building fast, creating nonstop, hitting goals, staying on the move. I was focused on output. After everything I’ve been through, success feels deeper. It’s quieter. It’s more intentional. Now, success is waking up with purpose. It’s having clarity, having peace, having the strength to keep going. It’s creating from a real place, not just a productive one. Success today is about impact — the people I inspire, the community I build, the message I stand behind. It’s about honoring my journey and making sure the work reflects who I’ve become. That’s what living phenomenal means to me now.

20) How important was your support system during this chapter of your life, and who would you like to thank for helping you get here?

My support system carried me through this chapter. Their love, their presence, their consistency — that’s what kept me standing. I’m here today because of the people who showed up quietly, faithfully, and without hesitation.

21) How are you approaching business differently after everything you've experienced?

After everything I’ve experienced, I approach business with a completely different mindset. I’m not moving off impulse anymore — I’m moving off intention. I’m more patient, more strategic, and more protective of my energy. I’ve learned to build with clarity instead of urgency. To prioritize alignment over speed. To focus on creating impact, not just output. Every decision now has to serve the bigger purpose — the message, the community, the legacy behind So Phenomenal. This chapter is about building smarter, moving healthier, and making sure the work reflects the growth, the healing, and the resilience it took to get here.

22) Jason, your story is one of perseverance. You've battled through health scares, experienced tremendous loss, and still found a way to create, inspire, and lead. As we close this interview, what is the legacy you hope to leave behind—not just through So Phenomenal, but through the life you've lived?

For me, legacy isn’t about being perfect — it’s about being present. It’s about showing people what perseverance really looks like. I’ve been through health scares, I’ve lost people I love, I’ve had moments where life forced me to slow down… but I never stopped trying to grow. Through So Phenomenal and through my life, I want my legacy to be a reminder that you can rebuild. You can evolve. You can take every setback, every loss, every painful chapter, and still choose to move with purpose. I hope people remember that I created from a real place. That I led with intention. That I inspired others to live phenomenal — not by being flawless, but by being honest, resilient, and committed to becoming better. If my story does anything, I want it to remind people that strength is quiet, healing is messy, and purpose is worth fighting for.
