  • Richard Pigkaso gives the Industry the X Factor in There are Always Strings attached

Many know him as the yoyo man always dazzling people at performances with his yoyo tricks and immaculate performances. Former Give Back Show performer Richard Pigkaso came to Monday Night Rawrr on December 18th 2017 and told us to expect the unexpected from his latest project There are Always Strings Attached, and boy was he right. The album which dropped on the Bronx artist 30 birthday gave us the unexpected with features from ShaaisLike , Kwoat , O Status , Kota the Friend and Efrain Opus to say the least. There has been a variety of immense talent on this album, and with the immense talent it compliments the extroverts musical style and personality. While many compare him to the outlandish styles of the 1990's Slim Shady Eminem. Pigkaso has taken his talent and brought it to a new level. His latest project carved his stature as an artist in the underground industry. We have a few favorites off the album you should definately check out. - Oh My God (feat Kwoat) - Die Alone (feat Shaislike) - Bronx Dreams (feat Laurelle) - No Freedom - Painting Pictures The words that come out of his mouth relate to his life as well as what is going on in the world around us. From his personal return the artist has you wondering from talking about speaking clearly, having a girl blowing you while you play super mario to how the police show no respect and segregate the African Americans in this culture. I applaud Richard for this project it really has you in your thoughts thinking about things that really matter while at the same time it has you jamming. This is streaming on all music platforms everywhere. Remember the video for No Freedom is on youtube right now. • 2018 is the Landmark Year for BBP own Scorpio P.

2017 might have been the stepping stone for BBP artist Scorpio P. But the artist from Queens NY has taken his talents and excelled to numerous levels since the release of his EP StreetFood. Since the release of StreetFood, Scorpio has participated in many events including Rawrr's own GiveBack Show , The Hartlem Festival , Even Rockview Entertainment's Mega Jam this past February. The young Scorpio also released the visual for his single Mother's Son. However this year, Scorpio P took a different and unexpected route in his music with the form of collaborations and a remake. With the help of Rockview owner S-Rock , Joe the Poet and other collaborations that have yet to be released; Scorpio released two remixes for his hit song Black Magic which featured Joe the Poet. Week later he released the One for the Ages Remix featuring Mr. S-Rock himself which tore the roof on the station as a whole. While dropping his own rendition of Power Trip from J-Cole on Valentines Day. What is amazing about these three songs it brings out different sides of Scorpio P. The remixes not only enhance the song but it gives more of a different story behind the music than what was originally portrayed. It also shows growth in the artist. In reference to Power Trip we also hear a creative twist in his music as he plays the saxaphone in the record. This is an admirable trait in artists, Scorpio P is never afraid to reinvent and think outside of the box. If he had put such powerful records thus far can you imagine what his album will be like? This is why we are naming Scorpio P.'s Rawrr's most innovative artist for 2017-2018. Follow Scorpio P. on instagram @mrphilliams Remember Rawrr comes back bigger and better APRIL 9TH!

  • Bizzy Claps Back teaching the Young Bucks How to Rap!

We saw that it was a new era of Bizzy Bee when he put a show at Presence is my Present this past December. He said he was going to make changes in 2018 and he did. His anticipated single How to Rap will be released today at 7pm; and Rawrr got the exclusive listen. Bizzy has never ceased to amaze us with the caliber of his music since his early 20s he always brought power to his music, and more importantly always promoted the value of the independent artist. In his recent event Presence is my Present , Bizzy performed unreleased music giving us the inclination he isnt going anywhere. The track How to Rap is what he states Deeper than Words . He will make those who proclaim themselves as "artists" think and wonder if they are doing the right thing going into this industry. From word choice to studio time, Bizzy holds no bars in telling what he really feels, even if it might sound petty to you its truth to us. Artists when listening to this please consider your own artistry paths, many claim you do it for the love of the culture while some of you do it for the dollar signs. Evaluate yourself and thank Bizzy after you hear this. Bizzy was nominated for performer of the year in last year's Voiceless Music Awards. A track like this will have him as an MC of the year for sure. He never stops to teach a lesson to us. I cant wait for the full release of this song and the video which drops tonight ! By the way the video features Scorpio P and Dequan Lil Diz! FOLLOW BIZZY EVERYWHERE AT @BIZZYBEEBBP YES LIKE BIG BACON PIECES AND DONT FORGET FOLLLOW US ON ALL SOCIAL MEDIA PLATFORMS EVERYWHERE

  • Meet the Young Rebel causing a stir in the Indiestry - Ant The Rebel

Student of Syracuse college, the young man known as Anthony Obas made a stir in the indiestry under the tutelage of the Voice of the Voiceless himself DJ Mainstream within the time span of less than a year this young man has made himself a prominent figure in the industry as a writer, contributor, Dj, and event planner. The young man starting marketing at Syracuse University has shown great strides as an innovator in his field that he was named as Monday Night Rawrr's Interim head of Social Media Content and Management. Promotions for Monday Night Rawrr will be handled by this talented and capable young man. He made such great strides he is content contributor of the Voiceless Music blog and brand. Between his dedication to people, the artists, and those around him he is the epitomy of what we want the future of this industry to be. On January 13th the Young Rebel (name given to him from Blackout The Rebel) curated his first event Claim the Throne at Harlem Knights which was the stepping stone for his throne. With the amazing talent that touched the stage such as Magesty the Rebel , and J. Garc this bill was known to be one of the finest for Voiceless Music . Hosted by the lovely Cool Chellz and music by the infamous DJ Mainstream. The family at WVMR which included Scorpio P aka Phil Williams and Nazin Rivera hosts of S3Radio ( Saturday 7-9pm) , Katie Kay of Monday Night Rawrr , Live Johnson, and of course Co-Owner of WVMR and Owner of Rockview Entertainment S-Rock was in attendance of this event with Rockview Model Ray Beauty. Although we could not have been there for the entire event we managed to get an interview with the awesomeness that is Ant The Rebel. Read Below 1) Tell our readers who are you? Where are you from and what do you do? My name is Anthony Obas, and I am just a normal kid from Harlem. I do everything related to music. I do radio, write blogs, promote music, and advise artists. It was only right for me to try coordinating an event. 2) What are you studying and where? Do you participate in any activities related to music in college? I am studying Marketing at Syracuse University with a possible minor in Entrepreneurship. In school, I am involved in the independent scene here at Syracuse. Through my radio station, we conduct events to showcase these artists. 3) How did you get involved with WVMR and the Voiceless Music Brand? I got involved with WVMR through a referral from a friend. He said, "Obas, you don't need a popular radio, just find a starting point." It was then he gave me the info to WVMR and I became an intern for WVMR. It was only a few months later that DJ Mainstream(John Ari Caul) introduced me to Voicelessmusic. It was only right since I advocated for independent & unsigned artists. 4) Where did your love of music come from? It came from my childhood. I remember the first album I listened to was Nas "Stilmatic". My coach played it in the car and the lyricism and delivery was insane from Nas. I was curious to see if any other artists were just like Nas. It was then I dived into the realm of music. 5) How do you feel about independent music versus the mainstream music? There's abundant of independent artists from all genres, but not enough mainstream. I want to break these artists so that they can live their dream. 6) How do you feel about the current state of hiphop and the revival of some of the classic hiphop that has been emerging in NY over the last few months? It is definitely not in a bad situation, but I really think that there needs to be more diversity in sound. There too much mumble rap and little conscious rap. There needs to be a balance between both worlds. 7) Tell us about your latest event? Claim The Throne was my very first event. It consisted of 8 independent artists from all over New York. Roseline, Darry Gambino, Shavar, Johar, Dev11n, IllestTae, Maddadan, and J.Garc were all present and ready to take the Throne. The stage is for these artists I believe, and I wanted them to get their money. 8) How did you feel about putting your very first event together? It was a calm. I got the job done. At first, I was nervous, shitting my pants as usual. However, once I saw the artists giving their hearts out. I knew it would be fine and it turned out to be a success. 9) If you had to change certain things about the event what would it be? Oh definitely, would love to make the event 18+ so I can incorporate college students. However, we all know how these NYC venues be. I would also improve on promotion. I think there could have been better promotion leading to the event. 10) Who were your favorite acts of the night? I didn't have a favorite act to be honest. Each person gave me a different feel. I felt passion, grief, sorrow, and happiness. It was a diverse line and each artist touched me differently. 11) Do you see yourself more involved in hosting events in the foreseeable future? Hell No. I like being in front of the crowd, but I don't like talking a lot. Host have to talk a lot and have personality. I have those characteristics, but I would rather be the guy who said they put the whole show together. Follow him on instagram @anthony_obas Remember to follow us everywhere at @mnrawrrwvmr

  • Voiceless Music Entertainment Breaks their latest signee with a new single.

He stirred the pot up last year with his album A L.O.V.E Story, after going into hiding for a significant amount of time, Michael Bostic not only releases a new single Give you the World with someone we did not expect, Rockview Entertainment CEO S-Rock. The R&B singer collaborated with the Titan of Rap in producing something that can be the reinvention of R&B. The collaboration flowing like rhyme and melody, discusses the love that you will have for a special someone and that together they can do anything as long as you give him the chance, despite the differences and the troubles as they may face. A man like me is going to make mistakes I know its no excuse but we shouldn't be this way . It is his eternal plea for someone he loves. It brings you back to the soul that R&B had back in the day, something that some of today's artist lack. What is amazing about this collaboration is they compliment each other. It isn't so often you see someone of Bostic's style collaborating with a hip hop artist but between S-Rock swagg, lyrical flow, and his verse the two created a number one hit. When discussing the latest signee and the track to owner of Voiceless Music Entertainment DJ Mainstream he stated "Michael Bostic is more than a friend, he's a brother. And if you can't win with people who are like family, then you won't be able to win at all. My goal with Mike is simple: resurrect R&B." Tune into the renaissance of R&B and see what happens with this talented artist Check the Track out on Soundcloud Don't forget to follow us on all social media platforms @mnrawrrwvmr

  • Chef Chrissy stirred the pot for us here at Rawrr

We normally bring the heat every Monday on Monday Night Rawrr, but this past Monday the heat was brought by our illustrious and extremely talented guest Chef Chrissy Williams, Chef Extraordinaire. Sister of hometeam's own Phil Williams aka Scorpio P. graced us with her presence and spoke to us about her life, cooking, even her relationship at home with her brother, family, and what she has learned. If anyone wonders Scorpio P. does help his sister with the cooking and his her assistant chef. He is even a darling and helps her clean the dishes. But that besides the point, this is not about him. Chef Chrissy really killed her interview with us, first of all she loves Mac and Cheese and she won our hearts like that. She is a Mac and Cheese connoisseur and she definitely loves to make it. She did not make mac and cheese for us but she did make us a beautiful Chicken Alfredo in which both Katie and Dj Cmurda consumed with happy hearts and stomachs. Many people do not stomach alfredo or have some type of dislike for it. We do not understand why, maybe the generic Alfredo is heavy. Not this one!!!!! Chef Chrissy's alfredo was so light and creamy and pulling it apart you can see the deliciousness between it. We do not know what were the spices that she put with the chicken but it tasted so good. Maybe Chef Chrissy can comment on this post and elaborate with us. The chicken grilled to perfection was mixed into the pasta and was the perfect addition to the dinner. We think you need to message Chef Chrissy Williams on instagram @chef_chrissy_williams and place some orders now. Don't forget to follow us on all social media platforms and catch us Monday nights on #MondayNightRawrr

  • Pick up Lines Acoustic has the Women going Crazy for Jenni Fair

If you thought you didn't get enough of the incomparable Jenni Fair with her first video for Pick Up Lines you then did not see the video for Pick up Lines Acoustic . Men this will make you want to step your game up. Many women will leave you for Jenni. This video different from the original where you had Jenni in her oldies funk swag, reminding many of us of Bruno Mars in that beautiful suit. Jenni takes this video to a more intimate setting a rehearsal studio. The beginning of the video sets the tone for the entire compilation as there was a gentleman trying to gain the attention of a certain female but through many unsuccessful attempts , the female was creeped out. After a few minutes she runs into Jenni and the rest is history. This is one of my favorite videos put out by an independent artist thus far. She takes her music and makes the videos so relate able to us. If you do not believe us watch below Tune into Monday Night Rawrr as we talk more independent and play more of your hits. • 2018 is the Year for Scorpio P as he Releases Mother's Son

Being on one of the largest independent stations in NYC you tend to be exposed music beyond your wildest dreams. But never have we ever been exposed to the mastermind that is Scorpio P aka Phil Williams. The owner of S3 Radio had taken a hiatus after the 2013 release of his first compilation and went to focus on his company Mindfield Theatre Group that he opened with his father. After years of building and self reflection P came back to his home in music. In late 2017 he released his compilation Street Food EP in which you can read about in our earlier blogs here on the Monday Night Rawrr website. Today he dropped the visual to one of our favorites Mother's Son . The song depicting the struggles of a mother was brought to life by the visual artistry and direction of Culture TV. The video is a product of who Scorpio P is, his love of theatre plays as Mother's Son is presented as a movie and less of a music video telling us a story. You really feel what the mothers and the women are feeling in the song when you see Scorpio defining them. This is definitely one for the record books Scorpio. Thank you for starting the New Year off right for all of us and giving us something to think about.
