D. Weathers is back with “Couple Thoughts,” his most vulnerable record to date. After dropping bangers like “Chinese Spot Remix,” featuring Dave East and Vado, and teaming up with The Hoodies on “Bop Wit It,” the Poughkeepsie-bred emcee is ready to show his audience a more personal side.
“Couple Thoughts” serves as a letter written to himself, a reminder that he is always up for the challenge no matter what he goes through. The song draws heavy inspiration from Weathers’ own personal life, giving listeners a window into some of the events the rapper has gone through over a six-month period in time.
The record is produced by Final Score Entertainment’s in-house producer, Half. The two are frequent collaborators, and it’s evident that Weathers is in great hands sonically.
Weathers is one of the hardest working rappers and will be busy all 2022. He will be featured on a Final Score Entertainment compilation album due out this spring and is working on a solo project, as well as a joint project with newcomer Bae. B. Stay in tune with the movement because there is a lot on the way from this superstar!
